          The Benzo Monsters

 

I feel the monsters inside my head

    Should I go and lay in bed

  Once I lie and close my eyes

The monsters seem to grow in size

 

    What’s this pain here in my side

      I feel like I should run and hide

    Will I make it through the night

  Maybe by morning I’ll lose my sight

 

      There’s screaming inside my ears

      I scream, I cry, I break into tears

  There’s shooting pains inside my head

      I’d be better off if I were dead

 

    I’m definitely sure that I will die

    Or is this just another benzo lie

  How in the hell am I going to cope

    Maybe I need to hold on to hope
