Stomach Ulcer

So I think I have an ulcer in my stomach; diodeurnal or peptic I'm not sure. Before I see the doctor about this, has anyone had any success with natural treatments? There's the typical information on the web but I always prefer to hear from people who have had the experience themselves.

thank you for your help,

Hi, yes, I treated and cured a stomach ulcer years ago, by drinking the juice of a raw potato mixed 50/50 with luke tapwater first thing in the morning. You shouldn't take this for more then six weeks. By using the proper kitchen appliance you get the juice out of the potato. Besides drinking this mixture you should of course take a close look at your diet. Some food items may have to go. So do smoking and drinking. Good luck.

I was diagnosed with 2 gastric ulcers in 2015. I take Zinc-Carnosine which heals the lining of the gut, Slippery Elm, DGL, and Marshmallow Root. I also take a Probiotic everyday. When I flare up occasionally, I eat a very bland diet. I try to eat very healthy anyway, but sometimes I cave and have chocolate, which is bad. >:(. I eat a lot of Okra which protects the lining also. Not everyone likes it, but it sure helps.

Hi! I was 100% sure I had a stomach ulcer. It turned out I had a pancreas problem- Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency. It is very hard to diagnose and my Drs have given me next to no answers. I just got a book that is on amazon- Primal Pancreas- and it is amazing... every sx that we have in benzo WD is also a result of EPI! I was very sick before getting on a benzo and have been off almost a month now and it's confusing to me to know what's WD and what's EPI. The book is about what to look for, how to heal, supplements, even medical tests that Drs don't generally know to do. I just got it yesterday so I'm still going through it but it is the first hope I've had of things I can do, other than the enzymes Rx from the Dr that costs more than a vacation but are vital. And have not given me the relief I thought they would.

I hope you've gotten answers by now about your possible ulcer. If you find out it isn't an ulcer after all you may want to look into getting info about EPI. And I found that limited on line and from the specialists!  Good luck!

Thanks... if you learn anything about supplementation, diets, or anything else that might help, please share.

I briefly treated my ulcer with carafate band started eating more and the ulcer pain faded within two weeks so I discontinued the carafate no problem.

Hello, I was diagnosed with EPI last year before I started my taper and had no clue there was any connection. I’ve been on Creon a year now my elastase went from 160 to 206!
wondering how that book worked out for you and how you’re feeling now.
my gi said it could be familial but offered no further exams other than the fecal test.
