protracted depression

As soon as I took my last dose of ativan, my depression started lifting.  I know the ashton manual says 6 months before going off the AD, but does anyone have experience going off AD sooner?  I know, my milage may vary.

Hi Wellness:

 

I reduced my Lexapro from 5 mg. to 2.5 mg. at the end of my taper.  Three weeks later I crashed really hard.  I had to reinstate to 5 mg. and continue lowering my dosage by titrating down slowly.  I'm at 3 mg right now, and may very well stay there for a while just so I don't risk further withdrawals.  Some people seem to do okay coming off their antidepressant medication rapidly.  Others have a harder time.
