celexa vs escitalopram?

Hi bb members

 

I had a question about escitalopram: my dr wants me to switch from citalopram (20mg) to escitalopram (10mg). I have been on citalopram for 3 months now.

Has anyone been on it and know if that would be better for anxiety?  Or is it better i taper off citalopram too? She wants me to be on it until april ( 9months)!

 

Im seriously lost with all these advices from doctors on what ssris to take....or not to take!  Pls help!!!
