Doctors that specialize in Post-Acute Withdrawal?

I was wondering, do anyone of you know of doctors who specialize in treating PAWS? I would really like to see someone knowledgeable about this to get some help. I know it's not a very well known illness, but perhaps there is a directory of some kind out there of doctors who specialize in this?

I would think an addiction specialist does. My addiction specialist does and tries some of the anti seizure meds. If they don't work he does it by reinstating you on librium and trying a really slow micro taper.

I dunno, if I'd gone through acute withdrawal I wouldn't want to be reinstated on librium to taper, when I'd already been off of benzos for a few months! What purpose would it serve?

 

As far as I am concerned, "reinstate" is a four-letter word...
