Epileptic like leg spasm. Anyone experience this?

I have been having troublesome "electrical legs" since starting taper. Last night it was also in my arms in the tricep area for the first time. <sigh> 

 

I had my usual sleepless electrical leg problems and then later in the night I started having VIOLENT leg spasms and jerking, so bad that this morning my back hurts and my abs are sore like I had a big workout. It seemed like epilepsy although I have no history and I take an anti-epileptic as an anti-depressant.

 

This went on for about 4 hours. I did not sleep at all last night and not feeling good today. Scared it will happen again.

 

Anyone have this type of violent leg shaking and jerking, or electrical arms? Anyone have this type of reaction to Lamictal?

 

I am not sure if this is benzo related or something new to add to to my ever growing list of somatic maladies.
