Server Diagnostics & Upgrade

Hello all,

 

The web hosts needs to perform some diagnostics on the server and perform some upgrades. It is probably not obvious to most members, but there have been some reliability problems with the server, with short outages.

 

From about 10PM (EST) Friday, that's 3AM (GMT) Saturday, the website might suffer a few short disruptions. These disruptions should not last for more than two hours (and probably a lot less). If you plan posting to the forum or sending PMs during this time, I suggest that make a copy of your post before clicking the 'post' button - just in case.

Hi,

 

The disruptions should be very minor. There might a server reboot or two, lasting no more than 10 minutes each. And, there might be times where the server slows up. You might well notice no disruption or slow up.

One of my posts disappeared but thanks to your announcement I knew exactly what happened and didn't worry a bit.  Thank you for letting us know in advance.
