lidoderm patch

any thoughts on using a lidoderm patch while tapering, I had surgery 5 weeks ago on my back and they had to cut through the muscles, I am in a lot of discomfort and don't want to take muscle relaxers or percocet when i am so close to the end, a MD friend recommended lidoderm patch and my doc called them in today. any inout appreciated

I checked www.epocrates.com and found no interactions.  However, I would make sure you talked with a benzo-wise doctor and a pharmacist first.  By the way, here is the epocrates link:

thank you, i stopped using then after about 3 days, i think i was getting side effects from absorption of them...
