A few months ago I stumbled over a youtube video of a guy who had been in severe benzo withdrawal, and who by means of his intellect, rational thought and self education beat the benzo devil.

 

In this video (part 1 - 4) He explains what happens to our brain chemistry when taking away the drug. It is hands on the best explanation that I have stumpled upon, and I felt the pieces match to why I had problems with light, sounds, too many things around me, and why just a bit of stress totally destroys me.
