Is memantine safe? Does it have potentially bad side effects?

I am on Luvox, pregabalin and Valium and I am considering using memantine to quit the pregabalin and the benzo. Also, I consider using it to treating OCD which is tough by the moment.

 

But I worry about its side effects profile (is it like antipsychotics?) and I worry about the withdrawal.

 

Your experiences and/or thoughts are welcomed.

Yes, seems good for people with autism and OCD. I am not functional and I barely do stuff during the whole day. Considering this, I am inclined to try memantine.

Medication is rarely the answer IMHO. It's just something else to possibly cause damage and another WD. Just take your time with what you're doing, and only taper 1 at a time. If you really think you need something, try some supplements maybe? But it can be done without as 1000's of people before you have proved
