I'm about to taper down 1mg of Klonopin(1 tablet a day)from nearly 9 years on it and would like some support for possible withdrawal.

I’m glad you’re aware you have to taper and could face withdrawal symptoms, after 9 years of use, its a possibility.  Have you had to increase your dose through the years, have you ever missed a dose and felt odd symptoms?  I’m just trying to figure out if you’ll be facing symptoms, some can taper off these medications without much difficulty, not us though.

 

We suggest reducing by about 5-10 every couple of weeks but what we’ve found works better is using your symptoms to guide you, this can hopefully keep you functional.
