[du...]
I am currently using Manufacturers Liquid Lorazepam diluted in tap water to titrate. I add 1 ml of the liquid to 299 ml of water. That makes about 4 days worth of doses. Any thoughts on how long this mixture is good to use? I just keep it in the fridge. Thanks
[je...]
I don't know how long a diluted mixture will last but I want to suggest you rather use bottled water to dilute your mixture. We just don't know what nasties might hide in tap water and interact with your meds.
[du...]
That makes sense. Thank you
[Pa...]
Thats the problem, we don't know how long the mixture will stay viable. Members have said they'll use it for up to a week but we don't even know if that's acceptable. Making modifications in any prescription drug confers a degree of risk. As a general rule of thumb, the greater degree of modification, the higher the degree of risk. I agree with jelly baby, maybe use distilled water and keep it in the fridge, I like the idea of making a new batch after 4 days.
