Pregabalin?

Pregabalin, or Lyrica, is the "new and improved"  Neurontin. We've had many members try Neurontin or Lyrica and did not fare well on these drugs. It has withdrawal symptoms quite similar to benzo withdrawal, and it must be tapered as well. You might want to see this thread http://www.benzobuddies.org/forum/index.php?topic=31527.msg460670#msg460670.

I tried it only once a few years ago and my anxiety level went through the roof.

Time and a slow, safe taper is really the only way to get through the nightmare of benzo withdrawal.

I tried the smallest dose of Lyrica (Pregablin) about 4 months ago.  I tried it for three nights and everyone (my doc and the pharmacist) said it was good for calming the nerves and helping with muscle pain.  So I tried it....

I took it at bedtime.  I woke up with a panic attack every hour or so, heart beating out of my chest in terror.  Three nights was enough.  To me it was poison - but that's just my experience.
