Rebound Anxiety/Withdrawal Support

[In...]

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

In my distressed state I am having some difficulty navigating through the multiple threads so please bear with me. I believe I’m suffering rebound anxiety/severe panic from benzo tolerance/unintended withdrawal and I am looking to start a taper but wanted to know which of the following medications you all have found to be the most effective for this:

Afobazole

Emoxypine

Memandine

Etifoxine

I’m definitely at crisis level at this point so any opinions are appreciated.

Hi- I’m sorry that you are suffering. I don’t have any experience with the medications you listed as a treatment, but I didn’t want you to think that your suffering goes unnoticed. There is a support group just for those suffering from anxiety and maybe someone there would have an answer for you. http://www.benzobuddies.org/forum/index.php?board=58.0 ( I am horrible with technology, so I hope I was able to post the link- if not, maybe one of our administrators / another buddy can help with the link). I really wish you all the best/ missy

I don't recognize any of those medications, not sure if any members have used them as adjunct medications but if you don't get many replies you can use these search engines to get the best results to your question.  http://www.benzobuddies.org/forum/index.php?topic=251991.0

I will add that adding medications to an already over sensitized central nervous system can be tough, we don't react like we typically might while in this state.  If you do decide to add something, please only add one at a time so you'll know what is causing what if you react negatively.

Your best bet may be to taper from the Grandaxin since you didn't find it helpful, just a warning though, benzo withdrawal can cause tinnitus.
