Coping tips for anhedonia

I was wondering if anyone could share any?

 

I use hot and cold because it lets me feel. Being cold then getting in bed with a heating pad. Heating pads are great.

 

I use smell too. If you can tolerate it. Orange scents and candle smell sometimes can add variety to experience. 

 

Grooming. If I can I will make myself look nice. (nice for WD anyway) I one time put on my best dress and and tied my hair back then got back into bed. If I don't feel it then I will look how I want to feel.

 

If I can't get out of bed, I'll force myself to move to the couch and look out the window. If you got a birdfeeder or something you can watch the movement of the birds. It doesn't feel to different but I imagine my brain likes to see activity as opposed to a wall.

 

If the day is nice walk in nature. It might not do anything for your anhedonia but it helps mood. Mood can be seperate from anhedonia. Thats why we can have bad days and sometime neutral days.
