redevan has kindly agreed to moderate a new board on the forum: Spanish/Español Group.

 

The space is not intended for benzodiazepine withdrawal support. It is an off-topic area, meant for distraction and general discussion.

 

This is what redevan has post about the new board:

 

El Foro de la Comunidad BenzoBuddies necesita usar un solo idioma para que los miembros y moderadores puedan entender todas las publicaciones y respuestas. Porque la gran mayoría de los miembros siempre han sido angloparlantes, el idioma del foro siempre ha sido el inglés, y seguirá siendo el inglés por un tiempo indefinido. Aún así, reconocemos que hay varios miembros cuyo idioma nativo no es el inglés. En particular, hay un número creciente de miembros de habla español. También hay varios miembros de habla inglés que han expresado interés en aprender español o mejorar sus habilidades en español. The BenzoBuddies Community Forum needs to use a single language so that the members and moderators can understand all the posts and replies. Since the vast majority of members have always been English-speakers, the forum's language has always been English, and will continue to be English for the indefinite future. Still, we recognize that there are a number of members whose native language is not English. In particular, there are a growing number of Spanish-speaking members. There are also a number of English-speaking members who have expressed an interest in learning Spanish, or improving their Spanish skills. For that reason we have decided to create a subscription group for those members who wish to use or improve their Spanish.

 

English will remain the operating language of the forum. All posts concerning benzo withdrawal and recovery will still have to be in English and be posted on the regular boards. This rule will be strictly enforced. The Spanish board will be for non-benzo-withdrawal posts only, for discussions about the Spanish language, culture, cuisine, cinema, music, art, and so forth. It is meant to be a fun, relaxing diversion, but one which will also be helpful in many ways to both Spanish speakers and Spanish learners.

This group is for those whose first language is Spanish, or whose next language is Spanish. I'm in the second category myself, but I'm getting there, slowly. There should be a lot of learning in both directions, with a lot of corrections, aiming for perfection. I'm looking forward to this. Hope you are too.
