[i ...]
Hi! First of all, I would like to apologize if I'm not supposed to post this topic here, I'm a newbie I have a couple of questions to ask. I don't know if this is a stupid question or what, but what does it mean by 'cut' the dose? Does it mean 'literally' cutting it using a knife, splitter or something? I know 0.25mg clona can be lowered to 0.125mg but I don't know if the actual dose really does exist, or we have to manually cut it smaller by ourselves. And is it a good idea to taper by taking the med every other day? Like at first skipping it after a day, then after that 2, 3 days
[CA...]
Yes, it does mean literally cutting the tablet and using a scale to measure. I don't know much about it as I'm doing a daily liquid micro taper which has been said is the most accurate way to taper. Each day you'll draw up in syringes a little less. Someone stated that kind of tricks your brain in getting used to the reduction in a much more pleasant way. No, it isn't a good idea to skip a day or so as your symptoms might be very difficult to stand. I started out not knowing what I was doing and it was horrid. I was introduced to the DLMT and it has been awesome so far. Do I have symptoms? Yes, I do, but they've been manageable so far and most days, I feel pretty well. This is what I used to plan my taper. http://benzo.alwaysdata.net/titration/titrationForm.php http://benzo.alwaysdata.net/titration/titrationHelp.htm?help=Readme+First I use milk for my taper, but I know many others use vodka or propylene glycol with water. It you decide on the titration, you might want to post more questions in the Titration Taper Plans section. Here is a good thread that I just read that gives you some excellent information. http://www.benzobuddies.org/forum/index.php?topic=222012.0 All the best... [bu...]
Here on BB, "cut" can refer to dividing a tablet into smaller parts, with a knife, razor, pill cutter, etc. But "cut" can also mean the amount of reduction to your dose. If, for example, you went from 10mg diazepam to 9.5mg, that would be a .5mg "cut"
[CA...]
I'm sorry. I was wrong on the 'cut' part, but some do weigh their tablets when they get to crumbly.
