Congrats Cindys;  thanks so much for taking the time and welcome to your wonderful future xxx😊

I met you saw neurologists and rheumatologist... did you have any rheumatic or osteo sxs with your hands or feet?  At 17 months my mental sxs are much improved but my fingers and toes are getting callous type lumps... many thanks.. it may be just pertinent to me...

Kristina, I suffered with joint pain in my left hand, wrist and toes from months 14-17. I was unable to bend my left wrist, but it only lasted 3 months. It was benzo WD related because it came in waves for 3 months. Very weird and bizarre. The rheumatologist told me I had a high Rhematoid factor but I did not have swollen joints or and lumps. He prescribed steroids which I did not take.

The neurologist prescribed gabapentin for the burning sensations which I took . Gabapentin was of no help and it took me 6 months to wean off. He then prescribed lyrica which I did not take.

Hang in there hon, 17 months is a big accomplishment and it gets better and better.

Cindy’s thank you so very much!! I do have ‘lunps’ Like callouses forming on my right hand, that plus nerve pain intermittently on my hands and feet, but you are a shining light toward the future and, as long as my brain doesn’t deteriorate (apart from being a little nutty with the pain), I’ll continue with hope.  There is no more burning, Sleep is generally good, just some gut issues.  Thank you again for your encouragement... right when I needed some (I’m in New Zealand, don’t have access to all the specialists and haven’t been back to the doctor for a year... probably time for a checkup but like you I wouldn’t want to take pain relief.... I do use capsacain cream occasionally and panadol).  I’ll message you when I’m feeling more consistently well... I guess I’m done with acute and this is all the aftermath of the acute!!! Bless your heart for updating us with your news and for the quick reply of encouragement to me xxx🌺❤️
