Morning symptoms !

Pre existing depression makes that morning benzo head feeling so much worse. The pressure in the forehead and the cog fog makes it tough to even get going. A friend who went through this before described it as a daily hangover on steroids. I never drank so I dont know what a hangover feels like but I will take His word for it.

 

Please feel free to share how You deal with Your morning symptoms especially the depression that lingers on into the day adding to the misery of withdrawal.

When I'm smart I get up and push through till my lamictal kicks in; typically throw up first. When I'm really depressed and beaten down I take my clonodine ( stops the rapid heart beat and chest pains) and go back to sleep. It's a bandaid though because I wake up 2 hours later with the clonodine worn off and I feel pretty much the same. I hate mornings! Wish I had it in me to get up and run than drink a nice green smoothie and meditate. I'm sure that's the healthy thing to do, but I'm in a very counterproductive state.
