Protein powder ideas. Anything without whey.

Protein seems to work well for my withdrawals. Am getting it from foods (lamb, fish, greens, legumes, etc.) but would like more. Any ideas on protein powders? No whey products please. Also no extra ingredients. Been thinking about Maca. Any ideas? Thanks all.

Vega is good I guess, but the Maca can be very, very stimulating.  I had to stop using Vega because it ran right through me and the Maca probably wasn't helping anxiety much.

It's good idea your looking for no added ingredients,  most vegan protein powders will add stevia,  which if you have adrenal problems is terrible choice.

I think organic pea protein would do.  Doesn't mess with your hormones,  also maca can also effect hormones so probably avoid that one.

Pea, rice, hemp, "raw vegan" mix, soy.....but the hemp may have too strong a taste...and do a little research on unfermented soy creating hormone imbalance.

In the right smoothie - with frozen bananas and strawberries and other flavorings for example - you can get away with less than ideal taste and texture.
