[ro...]
Please help here, I'm tapering from valium.im half way.. My husband has been on suboxone for 5 years, bc of Vicodin, Percocet addiction. After knee, Back surgeries. I'm scared. I guess since coming out of my tranquillized state, juggling family, business, moms aging health, I told my spouse he should taper off subocone bc he said it was not dangerous, not addicting, I believed him..all these years...but now I researched and know better... I tried to call his dr. Physch, but I can't talk bc of privacy laws.. My husband is 62, he seems groggy a lot, I won't drive with him.. Just to name a few reasons..he's not getting better as he told me.. I'm scared.. Do people really stay on this for many years, or should he be weaning off? I'm worried.. Rose Dear Rose, I know you have been dealing with this along with your withdrawal. The only thing I can say since I'm not familiar with suboxone is that your husband has to want to get off the drug. Until then, it will be like talking to a wall. You can give him information about the impact of the drug on him and perhaps he will move forward. Love to you, PG
[ro...]
Piano girl, Yes I know.. Now that I'm slmost off, more clear headed, more aware...I see what the meds are doing to him, us..we lost our medical business. And hardly can talk anymore. I need his support, comfort, he is working, but I'm afraid that may be ending too... I've been going on, struggling, maybe he sees that and doesn't want to deal with it. I told him to go to a treatment place, ........I'm worried. I'm not better, but I'm working on it. I told him to try to go to a center, take a med leave, I'm scared. Praying hard. Thanks.pg. As always, you are so kind Love rose
