Am having a scan fri. and since I am allergic to iodine they are using barium contrast.  Scares me to death.  anyone with experience?

I have done barium several times, and never had any reaction to it. I think I had it while in tolerance withdrawal, in real withdrawal, and while on benzos. Hopefully that will put your mind at ease.  :) It tastes yucky and I think once I had to take an anti-emetic so I wouldn't throw it up, but the other times were fine.
