Chronic Bloating?

I'm at nearly 2 years off Ativan now. Thought I ate something that didn't suit me, had diarrhea, went to the doctor and got some antibiotics.

 

Now all that's mostly improved, but I'm still having bloating 3 weeks later. Feels like a lot of trapped gas. Tired of endless visits to the doctor.

 

Anyone else have this?

Antibiotics dont distinguish between the good and bad guys.

So basically it messes up your intestinal flora.

Have you tried probiotics?

Also any recent dietary changes?

There have been some dietary changes. I haven't been eating bread/gluten. I though this would make it better though. Yes, I'm drinking probiotics every day now!

For how long have you been taking probiotics? And how much?

Are you eating enough fibres?

Just a week or so. I think so! I'm eating a lot of vegetables.

Probiotics can cause some bloating in the beginning.

Personally I would phase them out if it doesn't get better.

Do you eat a lot of raw vegetables? Those are hard on the intestines. Cooked ones are easier to digest.

Did your doctor have an opinion on the bloating?
