Fine granules for tapering

Where I am in the world, clonazepam is available in a fine granule form with a concentration of 1 mg/gram of granules. I think this might be useful for tapering since weighing out accurate doses would be much easier than cutting pills. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? The fine granule formulation is made by the same manufacturer as the pills.
