Tolerance Withdrawal - better to stay the course or cross taper?

I have not felt any relief from taking Ativan daily for the last 2 months (complete tolerance withdrawal) and am contemplating switching to Valium.  Does this make any sense / will it help with withdrawal symptoms or should I just continue tapering the Ativan and suffering?

This is an excellent question. I have read that both Ativan and Valium are used in tapering benzodiazepines. I have read that Valium is long lasting. It sounds like you may want relief from tapering the Ativan. Follow your instincts on whether to use Valium or Ativan for tapering off of benzodiazepines.
