Klonopin and General Anesthesia

Does anyone know if there are any side effects with mixing 2 - 2.5mg Klonopin and General Anesthesia? I may need to have a procedure that requires Anesthesia and I am concerned with mixing it with Klonopin while I am tapering. I have a hard enough time remembering things now and I do not want to make matters worse or create a permanent problem while I am tapering.

When I was at 2.5mg of Klonopin. I had to have some surgery on my stomach.

 

I was given Propofol and Fentanyl, also Ketamine.

 

I was ok, but I wasn't tapering then.

 

Hopefully others will be along with some advice.

I've had two surgeries for kidney stones while under general.  Both times I was on Klonopin.  Both times I was told it was not a problem.  I don't think it was an issue for me.

Almost no surgery gets done anymore without using a benzo, usually Versed. Not a problem. Just make sure they know what drugs you've taken the day of surgery.
