D phenylalanine

Hello everyone, I've been feeling very emotional over everything, really over the top and it's exhausting. It's like being allergic to life. As a result the amount of things I do has shrunk so that I'm afraid to do anything. I know this is a symptom. Has anyone tried the supplement D phenylalanine for this. I read in The Mood Cure by Julia Ross that this supplement is supposed to help, but that was on patients who weren't in benzo withdrawal .Any thoughts ?

I tried it, but I seemed to have better results from higher doses of Omega 3 fatty acids (fish oil capsules).  Unfortunately there really isn't anything out there that can eliminate what you are feeling, but only take the "edge" off of that particular symptom.  At least that's been my experience.  The only way to know is to try it.  In addition, I'd give it a good week or two to see if it works.  Many people believe supplements are like Benzos and works instantly?  Sometimes they take awhile to actually work and get some relief.
