Hello,

 

I joined Benzo Buddies because I am experiencing horrible symptoms.

I have been on and off benzodiazepines for the last 6 years and  at very different dosages and types. This includes, Xanax, Ativan and Valium.

 

I am currently taking between 5-15 mg of Valium a day since October of last year.

 

I have not started tapering and am looking for some support!

I’m so sorry to hear you’re dealing with symptoms, it sounds like you’ve reached tolerance to your dose, do you plan increase it to gain some stability, do you have that option? 

 

If you can’t increase your dose at this time, it might help to take your dose with consistency, the same amount at the same times every day. Your brain craves consistency so its important we provide that.

 

If you’re interested in tapering off the Valium we suggest reducing by about 5-10% every couple of weeks but given your past use, it might be good to go even slower.
