3 months benzo free

Hi all.

 

I haven't been around for a while, and it is so good to see that many of you are benzo free...congradulations.

 

I have a condition M.D ( Mcardle's disease) in which my muscle specialist told me that by being on so many benzo's for so many years (14) that the benzo's "might" be underlying some other disease. Well once the benzo's got out of my system, I started to have many many seizures, which now I have been diagnosed of having epilepsy. All the time I was on the benzo's my epilepsy was under control because benzo's can stop and prevent seizures.

 

I became very ill, not from getting off of the benzo's but from my epilepsy, anxiety, and muscles.

 

Now at the age of 53 I have been in a nursing home for 2 months, but I am feeling better.

 

I was way too anxious to get off of the benzo's and payed the price, but once I followed the right plan, it wasn't too hard on me.

When did you get home?  I am so glad you are feeling better.  Are you on any meds for the possible Mcardle's disease?

Hi Norm, congratulations on being benzo free! That's a huge accomplishment, especially after being on it so long.
