I have my life back!

Tomorrow is 2 years since my severe antibiotic setback. I am finally myself again. No more food reactions, way less chemical reactions. No more crying spells and my other symptoms are controlled by medical marijuana. I am taking my kids out daily to do fun things! We have gone to the amusement park, library, parks around town, multiple walks! I never thought I would feel alive again! If you have a major set back I am proof you will heal again! 😄

Heyyyyy!!!! I haven't been on here in ages and this is the first thing I see! Whoo hoo!!!!

I am so genuinely happy for you!

I'm doing relatively well too - not healed but functional and making big plans. Feels so good to be more less on the other side of this.

Thanks for letting us know how great you're doing, so many who suffered setbacks need to know they can come back from them.  An amusement park is the ultimate test of recovery, good for you!  :o

Thank you for posting this. Did you heal little by little or did you suddenly start to feel a lot better at some point? I am almost 22 months from abx setback and still in the thick of it. So glad to hear you are feeling better!

I feel after I started Cromolyn within a week I was feeling a little better. After 2 months feeling like a new person. But since January it’s been a gradual continual process! I haven’t even had a food reaction in almost 2 months now. I’m so sorry that you experienced a setback also. I am dealing with PTSD from the severe symptoms I experienced. I need emotional healing from that.

I am getting my life back too now. Aside from my vision issues most of my other symptoms are either gone or diminished greatly. Last month I drove 1100 miles in one day. After a day of rest I was good. I did work myself into a wave over the weekend but that lasted less then a day. If one my vision would resolve I’d probably be writing a success story. Just not there yet.

In month 5 of a bad setback here myself and it is a level of hell that I did not even know existed at 45 months. Totally unbelievable.

How long were you on the Cromolyn for? I don’t have mast cells issues, I don’t think, but do have high histamine levels in my neurotransmitters test.

Thank you for sharing this. Our son was 6 when my nightmare began and just turned 10 and me 40, and I have been a mess with not being better and even worse. I live for the day to eat pizza together, ride bikes, take him to Disney. I just want to get better for him with my whole heart.  :'(

Any words of encouragement would be spectacular. Thank you.

I started Cromolyn in January. I’m sorry you are suffering I suffered severely for over a year and a half before I got better. I’m not going to lie I didn’t think I would make it. I’m proof it will get better. What caused your setback?

It’s kind of a long story but back in December I wasn’t spectacular but thought I was finally starting to see some progress and I started with a new symptom that ended up being diagnosed as a hypertonic pelvic floor. But in getting diagnosed it took over a month because no one could figure it out why I had the severe burning in the girl areas and I got myself so terrified of thinking I might need an antibiotic  that the stress itself started to sent me back and then my doctor before I was diagnosed by a specialist told me to use hydrocortisone cream which absolutely killed me and then I had a follow up brain MRI and that took me over the top and the setback just spiraled out of control the last couple of months.

You have NO IDEA how this post gives me hope. At 38 months of xanax and 15 months post AB setback, I am experiencing some of the worst waves I have ever had with little relief in between. I still can't work or function normally in society. But now you've given me a glimpse  :smitten:
