Hello all,

After 5 month Ativan use (1mg/day) and 4 week taper, here is my 17 month update:

I have experienced approx 40 symptoms total throughout the withdrawal. I feel about 95% healed, still waiting for final recovery of 100%.

Months 1-3: acute massive withdrawal symptoms, about 10-15 at once, mostly occurring at night

Months 4-7: felt almost healed; most symptoms gone

Months 8-14: cycling waves and windows: about 15 days per month I felt 95% well, about 8 days per month I experienced moderate to manageable symptoms, about 7 days per month I experienced intermittent waves

Months 14-17: cycling waves and windows: about 15 days per month I felt 95% well, about 11 days per month I experienced moderate to manageable symptoms, about 3-4 days per month I experienced intermittent waves

Symptoms still occurring intermittently:

Massive anxiety attacks with palpitations and pulse going from 70 to 160 beats/min, usually lasting 10-20 minutes, occurring 2-3 times per month

High pitched Tinnitus occurring 2-3 days/week

Broken sleep almost nightly, but able to accumulate 7-9 hours total per night

Lightheadedness/boatiness about 3-4 days/week

Slight head and chest vibrations/tremors, mostly occurring at night, almost nightly

Slight chemical terror, about 1-2 times/week

Slight nausea, about 3-4 times/week

Hope this helps those who are still wondering this far out…
