Hello Babaloo  Welcome to Benzobuddies

We always welcome members caring for loved ones. You will find lots of information on the forum. Please post questions on any of the dedicated boards,  our members are very knowledgeable  and will help. Please reassure your spouse, they will get through this, it will get better

It’s generally recommended to reduce your daily dose by somewhere between 5% and 10% every 10 - 14 days.  You can taper slower, whatever feels comfortable The aim is to keep any symptoms manageable

I would  suggest you check out The Ashton Manual, It is a great resource for understanding the effect benzo’s have on our body.

I'll leave you a few links:

If you would like to add a signature (history of meds/doses etc) to help members give you relevant advice.  Go to the top of the page and select PROFILE then choose forum profile then insert drug history into the text box and remember to click change profile

We have read the Ashton Manual and scoured the web and decided on water titration from 1.5mg atv January 2022 to the 0.5mg as of today.  I mistakenly said 2.5mg January elsewhere.

We are in our 70s and older than most of the forum community.  She is experiencing body aches/pain,

insomnia/depression/agoraphobia/hot-cold sweats/fatigue/etc. which we attribute to the taper and wd.

She is seriously fatigued and depressed by lack of sleep and using amb/amb cr/gabap/propol/sleep aids to get 2-4 hours of fitful broken sleep.  Our research has determined that this journey is uniquely individualistic yet also similar whether ct/taper/detox - all experiencing wd symptoms.

She has reached a point now that she wants to to a detox and end her current situation.  We would appreciate any advice on this ASAP.
