Trileptal or lamictal post-withddrawal

So I see the consensus here is pretty much -> SSRIs = bad

My pcp (who is also my uncle and cares for me very much) is suggesting trileptal or lamictal for 5-6 months and then taper.

Any thoughts or experiences?

Please understand we aren't anti-medication, we just know from experience that adding anything while in tolerance or withdrawal can be problematic.  Our central nervous system is so sensitized during this period that our bodies don't react to new medications (and supplements) like they normally would.  Sometimes adjunct medications can be helpful, others times not so much but if you and your doctor decide its in your best interest then of course, we'll support this and you.
