Urinary Frequency and Incontinence...Arrrgh!

Recommended Posts

Urinary frequency and incontinence (UI) started well before getting off Ativan for me, probably about 15 years after I started benzos (during the last 5 years on them).  As with many of my other misdiagnosed tolerance w/d symptoms I was sent to the specialist for that particular symptom, a Urologist, who inturn prescribed me yet another drug for UI.  I now know better.

My question is how long before fellow BBs with this symptom noticed it fading/stopping?  I realize everyones road is unique, but I still would like to know.  It always reinforces confidence when you hear good news.

I had this some months ago and it was really annoying.  I can say it did get better with time and no meds.  Actually I remember it as really painful.  I hope you get relief from this soon.

per,

Do you feel like you have to urge to go all the time but don't really have to go?

I always feel the urge to go, like my bladder is always "on" and I go every time.  If I even take a sip of liquid it seems like I urinate a pint.  I can't always make it to the restroom when it hits.  I have been doing kegels, wearing sanitary pads, etc... to cope.

Hi,

Wondering if I had to go to the bathroom or wondering if I just "thought" I needed to go was a s/x that has faded a lot.
