Me and my fiancee are on HIGH doses of benzos and were before she got pregnant. We desperately need advice on what to do. We've been on and off benzos before and tapered a few times each. Her more than me. But this time there's a baby involved... 7 weeks along. Dr's refuse to help. We use benzos we obtain from the internet. Etizolam specifically. We need a long acting benzo to taper with. I know I can get off benzos I've done it. So can she.

 

But what do we do because she's pregnant??

 

 

I'm 29, she's 26.

Welcome to BenzoBuddies, we are glad you are here!  I'm sorry you and your fiancee are in this dilemma and I hear the concern and urgency about it in your post.  It is a bit comforting to hear that both of you have gotten off benzos before but getting off safely is the most important aspect right now - for both of you.  Have you exhausted the resources in your community to find an addiction specialist to help?

Hi Sjofn, good to have you here. You have the great motivator of becoming parents to urge you on to quit the benzos and from what I read you are serious about this.

I don’t know anything about benzos and pregnancy but I do know that I have got off Lorazepam without changing over to a long acting benzo, so it is possible.
