I may have asked this question in a round about way a few days ago without knowing this term....but what is tolerance withdrawal.....is it holding at a dose for too long while you're tapering with s/x? Is there a was to soften this response? Thanks all

Hi Clementine,

Tolerance withdrawl is when a person is experiencing withdrawl symptoms even while taking their regular dosage of the drug. It's basically your threshold in sense. It's when the drug is no longer working for you and you begin to experience tolerance withdrawl symptoms. Your body wants more of the drug and this can happen even while taking high dosages of the drug, or while tapering because of the decrease.
