Are antibiotics a no no I'm guessing.  I think I might have conjunctivitis

Beta-lactams are a no-no, fluoroquinolones are a big no-no. Others are probably fine.

Most antibiotics seem to be fine.  Fluoroquinolone are the ones to avoid - they include Cipro, Levaquin, Avelox,  Floxin and others.

What are Bata-lactams, which antibiotics do they include?

  i have never heard that anti biotics were bad during taper.  could someone please explain what happens when you take antibiotics during this time.  thanks in advance.  jill

Floroquinolones and to a lesser extent beta-lactams are negative allosteric modulators of GABAA receptors. That means they work like benzos, except they do the oposite. They reduce the effectiveness of GABA.

Most antibiotics are fine to take during withdrawal - the ones to avoid, fluoroquinolones, can lead to waves in which withdrawal symptoms increase (temporarily)

You don't necessarily need antibiotics for conjuctivitis, should hopefully resolve by itself.
