Remeron for akathisia

I need options. My akathisia is severe at 5 months off klonopin. It’s mostly mental mixed with internal vibrations. Horrible agitation. The “I want to rip my skin off” feeling.

 

I’m taking Clonidine (lowers blood pressure)  and it has helped, but it’s still horrible.

 

I’ve read that Remeron can help at low doses. I don’t care about weight gain. I need to gain weight. But I do care about anything possibly making the akathisia worse.

 

Anyone use Remeron for akathisia? I need to do something. This isn’t sustainable.

Read this post from Parker -- it talks about using Remeron for akathisia. As with all meds, individual responses vary. I've heard of people who say that Remeron saved their lives during BWD … others say it's the worst thing ever. So please make an informed decision!
