Enhanced Imagination or Hallucinations

Could someone please explain the difference between enhanced imagination and hallucinations to me?

 

I am 5 weeks out from a far too-rapid taper of over 2 years of 2 mg of clonazepam -- both taken as prescribed and tapered by, you guessed it, an ill-informed psychiatrist.

That's a good question & I'd like to see what others have to say.

 

I can think of many renowned persons who have left us with many great accomplishments which some say may have originated from their enhanced imaginations or perhaps from hallucinations.

 

Nikola Tesla is one example of such a person who is credited with the development of radio and alternating current electric motors.
