Hi, i'd been on Valium for 3 years and have stopped cold turkey. Just looking for some advice.

Welcome to Benzo Buddies. We are a support and information group for those wanted to get off of benzodiazepines. Congratulations on what you accomplished, it is seriously, quite an accomplishment to wean yourself off of your benzo.

 

As to when you will be yourself again, and what you can expect going forward, it really varies from person to person. Be encouraged, even if it drags out, you got off of the drug, and even when you get symptoms, it is a sign your nervous system is healing. Healing is not linear with benzo's. You can have good spells, then bad ones. It is a zigzag as far as symptoms, not a line. So, on days that are worse, remember that.
