cant remember who my SO is??

Does anyone else struggle to recognize their significant others?

 

I think it might have something to do with the fact that i seem to be stuck in another year (one year before i met my partner) but whenever he isnt around I feel like i cant remember him and i start panicking that ive forgotten him and who is he. It makes me feel sick. He is so important to me and i love him so dearly so this feels like a pressing issue to me and makes me feel so so anxious.

 

I must sound crazy but can anyone relate?

I often feel that way with my family (husband and kids) as well. I think it's an aspect of DP/DR where we feel separate from ourselves. It's frightening and unsettling for sure. I've read a few other buddies post about this awhile back so I don't believe that we're alone in this. I truly hope that this and the many other horrible w/d symptoms improve over time.
