Thank you BG, for keeping this thread going. I've been really ill the past days, but I could eat that casserole!  :smitten:

🎅 Thanks for posting, that is a lovely picture. "Santa Slim" has a full time job, and is really busy, so he lets me indulge here, this is a great thread he started. Please do not overdo and take care of yourself. 🕊 Peace. :smitten:

🤶 I used to bake for days all sorts of Christmas Cookies for my six Nieces and Nephews when they were young, there is one simple plain cookie, that I know ranks first with them. Many times during the upcoming Holidays I would have a kitchen full of children all covered with flour and powdered sugar and they had so much fun...but one Christmas I did not include my Chinese Cookies...oh you would have thought I offed Santa, the whines and crying. It is so true the simplest sometimes is the very best. I have a Nephew that visits each XMAS and he gives me a big hug and then asks Auntie do you have any of those cookies, you know the ones that I think about at Christmas. They are rich and sweet, but so easy. Of course I send a gaily wrapped cookie pkg home for him and his Family and my other Nephew. The others make their own each year. One said to me once that these cookies had "Happy Dust on them"

One large pkg Butterscotch Morsels

I large can Chow Mien noodles

Melt morsels in microwave I start real slow, just quick zaps until melted

open can of noodles and crush lightly with fork

Note; you can add some chopped nuts if you like.

Have a cookie pan lined with parchment paper or not, I do not use it and they still come off easily.

Pour noodles in bowl of melted morsels and mix and coat with two spoons. Drop by spoonfuls on lined cookie sheet, using two spoons is easier, when finished place in Fridge for a while until set. Place in a pretty Christmas container, they have a long shelf live, but they never lasted that long. :)

🤶 Baked Brie.

1 wedge or round Brie cheese.

1 container Pillsbury Crescent rolls.

1 cut up pear or apple, grapes.

Remove covering from Brie and open can of rolls, lay dough flat and pinch cuts together to form a uniform square, place cheese on dough and wrap it around cheese. No need to remove covering on cheese, it is edible.

Place on a oven proof plate, have Oven on 350 degrees, place in middle of oven. Bake until dough is baked and golden in color. Remove from oven.

Serve with crackers of choice, or toasted baguette bread. Sliced pears or apples, slice hard salami goes well with this. Use a butter knife and spread on crackers or fruit, bread. Enjoy it is really good.  🤶
