Hair Loss due to Long-Term Benzodiazepine Use

Is there any proof or has anyone had significant hair loss from benzo use? I am 33, a woman and I am way too young to be thinning out. It has become quite embarrassing. I loose globs of hair a day, especially after I shower. This is terrible.

I had noticable (to me, anyway) hair loss around my temples during acute withdrawal, to the point where I started shopping for wigs.  But after a few months, it started to grow back.  Many other members have experienced the same type of thing, and yes, your hair will grow back.

Many women have reported temporary hair loss (and its subsequent return).  Shocks to the body can cause hair loss and this is certainly a shock to the body.
