Rescue doses

Hi,

 

I have been addicted to Valium for 15 years and am currently at zero.

 

I have a question where your answer will be 'don't take rescue doses' but ....

 

I wonder if it would be better to take a small dose of Klonopin instead of Valium since Valium has a longer half-life ?

Or will Klonopin be just as bad (or worse) than valium

 

I hope someone can give me a serious answer.

I would say don't do it! I think your brain never will respond normal to benzo and it can cause bad w/d. I was free from codeine for over a year and I took it for a few days for pain in a tooth. I got the worst abstinence ever. I had also read, I  think it was Ashton manual that a person who had been addicted to benzo or on benzo will never act normal on the drug. I will never ever put a benzo in my mouth when this war is over. Why take a risk?

is any other sedative an option? Like others have said why risk it. Maybe an antihistamine?

Regardless which benzo you choose  it is your GABA who is react on any kind of benzo. I think it is a bad choice even with  oxazepam...
