on my right side of my back i have this horrible muscle knot and pain that spasms all the time, is this common? i can barely walk feel like i have something wrong with my back

Yes. I had a long period of time (3-12months) where I had muscle pain/spasms frequently. In particular I had one place in my right thigh and one place in my lower right back that would spasm whenever they wanted to and it felt like a knife being jabbed in me.

 

This is normal for the course and it does let up and go away thankfully.
