Benzo handling in Denmark

Hey

 

I am taping Down from 20 mg Diazapam which I have been taken for 10 years.

 

Now I am at week 6. - and right now I am having a hard time.

 

The first 4 weeks was easy - Diazapam can be in your body for 30 days if you use them reguarly.

 

I am beeing taped Down with short (5 hrs halftime) OxyBenz - I have 4 pills a day.

 

I thinking I may be tappering too hard (over 18 weeks) because yesterday I had a "panic-attack" - it was the WORST I have ever felt. And I never got souch attacks before.

 

I the beginnng of the night I was beeing scared of the television - then suddenly it felt like I was having a heartattack. Then i emmedely eat 2 pills. But the pills dident have time to work.

 

So I was facing about 20 minutes og panicattack - I know it can happend under a downtaping. But I will not face it Again without having the right to use the emergency brake.

 

I hope my doctor will call me back today. Thanks god I live in Denmark, where all health care are free. I have the right to 10 private sessions at a psykoterpist almost free (about 20 USD pr session, rest paid by state)

 

God damm pills - please tell me about your experinces with panic-attacks !!

I am glad you found us today. The feeling of panic is a classic symptom of withdrawal. Are you tapering too quickly? The recommended reduction rate is 5 to 10 percent every two weeks. Since Diazapam has such a very long half life, it can sometimes take a week or two to feel the full effects of a cut.
