why does the time pass so slowly?

I am in a pretty bad place at .75 diazepam.  I have constant ruminations and the time just passes so slowly,  I find it near impossible to distract such is the level of agitation other than watching TV.

 

My brain just will not shut down and give me any peace - really at a loss as to how to deal with this.

I had the same issues due to a too fast detox ( detoxing is the word I prefer cause the shit is poison. tapers are candles ). Be patient with yourself. You cannot do this too fast or it will take longer to recover. I had to buy a clock that struck every 15 minutes so I could keep track. You were born to be free and you will be again-don't rush it. Can you read books?
