😭THE BASICS...😭

🌸On Diazepam for 10+ years @ 10mg/4 x day (40mg/day total)

🌸Never ever abused!! Still, know am highly dependent!!

🌸Former PCP Dr. initially gave cause was "floxed" by Levaquin!!

🌸Have Chronic Late Stage Disseminated Neuro Lyme Disease & many other bad chronic illnesses as a result!!

🌸It helps functionality a lot!! Just can't convince any Drs. tho!!

🌸Lost prescribing former PCP Dr.!! Not my fault tho!!

🌸New PCP Dr. doesn't want to prescribe!! Says will do so tho until see neurologist. Not very confident!!

🌸Can't find any Dr. at all who will prescribe!!

🌸Have appt. with neurologist. Not until Jan 2017 tho. No guarantee they will prescribe!! Not very confident!!

🌸Afraid body is too weak from so many bad chronic illnesses to endure withdrawal!! Especially cold turkey or anything close!!

🌸Truly really need it cause so sick!! Extremely scared to withdraw!!

🌸Don't know what to do!! Am so lost trying to find help!!

🌸How to convince any Dr. it helps so much??? Especially with neurological issues!!

Welcome to BenzoBuddies, ItIsJustMe.  Glad you've found us.

 

I'm sorry for what you're going through right now.  Hopefully your new doctor will prescribe Valium long enough to let you taper slowly and carefully.  I would suggest reading over the Ashton Manual (link below) and printing some of the information and taper schedules for your doctor to look at.

 

As far as finding a prescribing doctor, you might want to post in Withdrawal Support about finding a doctor in your general area who might be helpful during a taper.

It provides a great deal of information that can be very reassuring during any stage of this process, including a list of common symptoms with helpful explanations on the reasons for their existence.
