Of those withdrawaling from benzos have prolonged withdrawals like what we are gong through ?

The Ashton study says that 10-15% of patients experience protracted withdrawal symptoms. My sister took Xanax everyday for 4 years and she quit CT and never skipped a beat. She kept working and taking care of her kids like nothing happened. She said she had no increased anxiety, no sleep issues, nothing. Of course that made the rest of my family really believe I'm faking it or need psychiatric help. I told them the majority of patients don't experience it. I had to somehow fall into the minority that do.

My mom has been taking Xanax off and on for the last 30+ years.  Consecutively two months max.  Stops with no problem.  I wasn't so lucky!
