According to this study, the cause-and-effect of SSRIs and fractures can't be confirmed, but there does seem to be a strong association between in the two. In the meantime, the authors do state the following: "SSRIs appear to contribute to fracture-inducing falls, and addressing any fall risk associated with SSRIs may be an efficient approach to reducing SSRI-related fractures."
